I had no dea what this film was about when I rented it. All I knew was it had Matthew BRoderick and Denzel Washington won an oscar for it. It was a really great film.
Anyone care to disagree?

I thought it was stupid and tried to hard to make you feel bad for the blacks. I don't think Denzel deserved an Oscar for this crap. He probably only got it cause he gets whipped a few times and thats drama....yeah.
I thought Denzel was pretty good in this. If you want to talk about undeserving oscar wins...how bout best actor for training day over Russel Crowe's portrayal of John Forbes Nash Jr or Sean Penn in I am Sam

Russel Crowe sucks but I agree with you. I hate the Oscars. The only reason Russel didn't win (I hate Russel BTW) is because his personal life got involved. And I don't think that should effect whether he wins an award or not.
ok, first off, glory is a classic and portrays a pretty important episode in our history, the first time blacks were able to fight for our army. so here's to the 54. second off, denzel deserves his oscar for that movie. though, i do agree that as of late, the oscars have been pretty polotically motivated. though, i dont agree with your opinion that russell crowe should have gotten the oscar over denzel. im not saying training day was deserving eaither. though, the only thing a beautiful mind did for me was make ME crazy. i really did not understand why that movie was so popular. but, that is besides the point. and it's late, and im ranting. thats my opinion, live with it.
