dude this movie looks so awesome! Ever since I first saw the trailor i have been dying to see it. At first I was thinkin about Ashton Kutcher in a drama and NOT comedy and I was like yeah right he will suck. Now when I see this trilor I really can see him as serious, in fact he seems like the right kind of guy for the part. It looks sweet man.

yea.... i dunno. its just i see the whole movie right there in the trailer. i know exactly wats going to happen, guy goes back in time to save his girlfriend and messes up someone else's life and he tries and tries and tries and the moral is you have to let the world be the way it is with a whole balance of nature and blah blah blah blah.... just doesn't hook. and time travel is so dead for movies. i might see it, but.... you know...

I saw this trailer prolly 3 months ago on apple trailers and I immediately saw Ashton Kutcher in a role that can showcase his potential and his talent. If you look in his other movies, he DOES use method acting, even though alot of his comedies are based on physical humor. Even listen to the commentary tracks... most notably Just Married... he explains how he wore a knee brace through the entirety of shooting to fit the character... and even though I wouldnt call "Dude Where's My Car" a masterpiece by any means, Ashton felt that he needed to stop working out to fit the "stoner" bodyset...
I'm telling you... this guy is the next Tom Cruise... starts out in stupid teen hottie roles and gradually grows to become a great actor.
And after all that, my verdict on Butterfly Effect is it will be an average movie with great acting from Kutcher.

Butterfly Effect looks kickass. I'm not usually one to judge a movie by the trailer - but I'm quite sure this will thrill and entertain me thoroughly. Even if it doesn't, this is one amazing trailer and they ppl who made it deserve some praise.

Ashton Kutcher is crap, and this movie looks like crap. Like someone else said, they show practically the whole thing in the trailer. And it's not a very good trailer at that. Sorry just my take on it. This film definitely does not look interesting or good to me at all.

there's really nothing wrong with the trailer, its the subject matter. "I lost you once I'm not losing you again..." wasnt that locked up in the NEVER USE IN A MOVIE AGAIN box? And that fat guy from American History X is in it...we're supposed to believe Ashton Kutcher...is supposed to be friends with HIM? I'm sure it's different in the film, but christ, if you had to go by that one clip...
we'll see i guess.

Not liking the subject matter is completley understandable, at least you can see that the trailer WAS put together quite well. It had the structure, the flow, enough for some to get interested (like me) and wanting more.

It seems to me that it took the beginning from the Time Machine (with Guy Pierce) and expanded on it more. Just doesn't seem original.
I will admit though the trailer was nice.
