Well this is sort of related to studentfilms.com AND a film recomendation so...

Some of you may remember the script contest so graciously offered here a while back by our own Jay888. For those out of the loop... there was a script contest.

Anyway the selected scripts were to be read by His wife, an agent at one of the "big three' agencies in La La land (I think he has said before on here which one, but just incase I wont mention the name. Suffice to say it is major and the rep some BIG people)

Well his wife was a part of getting the film "The Clearing" optioned and made. The film just recently was released on DVD.

Now if your a writer, you may be curious about, "What is Hollywood looking for? What does a screenplay that gets a 'someones' attention look like?" Well now you can find out.

As a niffty little feature on the DVD you can actually read the entire screenplay. I just thouhgt it was cool that you could see the completed script for a film Jay's wife was a part of on the DVD. A very rare feature to be sure.

The movie aint bad withere. Not the greatest film ever, but sort of a realistic and bleak look at a sad situation and the lives it touches along the way. Pick it up if you get the chance.
