How old are you? Chill out man. They're just movies. Good ones at that!
But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Movies based off comic books are exactly that, movies based off of comic books. Just have a good time with it and don't try to compare it to The Godfather, The Departed or Life is Beautiful. It's cheesy yes, the acting? Oh so very bad. But I don't care, movies like this make you feel like a kid again. You hope Spidey can save the day, you know he will, but yet we still watch. Just don't try to over think certain movies, you might hurt yourself.

The first one is 2 out of 4 for me, the second one is 4 out of 4 and the third one is 3 out of 4 with the note that it is the most entertaining. I think they deliver inventive exciting action, good performances, creative direction and scripts of variable quality.
But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

I think it was exciting much along the lines of X-men 3, actually. The two films are very similar. They were proceded by two better films (much better in the case of X-men), and both took the route of becoming more comic-booky and shoving in as many effects as possible. They were visually exciting, had fun action scenes, bad direction, terrible scripts, etc. In both the filmmakers tried to shove in too much for the film's own good, which is what I think ultimately kept both (especially Spiderman 3) from being much better.
This is really the kind of movie that you can't argue over whether or not somebody should like it, because it really is just a popcorn film. It's meant purely for entertainment, not for its own merit, and so you either were entertained or you weren't. Neither side is right, and neither side can really argue their own point because of the films nature and the nature of its viewers' opinions.

I hadn't yet drawn that comparison between X-Men and Spiderman, and now that you say that, the formula is very similar.

I agree with the first post- not nearly as good as the first two, and I was disappointed. Oh well. Boyd Gaffney <a href="http://www.productiontrax.com">Productiontrax.com</a> Royalty Free Music and Sound Effects, Stock Footage, and Multimedia Content
