"Bend it like Beckman" is runaway British comedy hit that tell the story of an Anglo-Indian girl, Jess ( Parminder Nagra), who wants to play soccer, inspired by her idol, David Beckham (who's a real-life soccer star), against the wishes of her orthodox Sikh parents, who would prefer she just found a boyfriend and perfected her cooking. Jess gets a chance to fulfill her dream when she meets a tomboy-ish blonde girl, Jules (Keira Knightley), who helps her realize her potential as a kicker.

I haven't seen it, but have heard nothing but good things about it It's probably the best thing out of the UK since ABOUT A BOY and BILLY ELLIOT (in my opinion)!

I love "About a Boy" and "BIlly Elliot". I like a lot of UK films, so "Bend it like Beckman" won my heart. Not to mention i like the work of Gurinder Chadha.
