Charles Burnett's film called Killer of Sheep has recently been restored and released in big cities in the US after 30 or so years of tie ups due to music rights. The film was shot over weekends over the course of a year in the Watts neighborhood in Los Angeles. Burnett was a UCLA MFA student at the time...The film is hugely critically acclaimed. I loved it too. I'm wondering if anyone saw it and what they thought...

Sa- I recently saw bits and pieces of the film at the Atlanta Film Festival. I was impressed with what I saw and would like to sit down and watch it in it's entirety.

Yeah, wow, I'm so glad you brought this film up. I was amazed to see it on a marquee in N.Y. last month. I practically hung up on my friend so I could dive into the theater in time. It's among the most beautiful films ever made, without question.
