The list changes a lot, but at this moment, yes, Big Fish stands at #2. It was honestly one of the most inspirational and magnificent films I've ever seen.

They're my 50 favorite movies.

I like foreign films; I just don't get to see them very often. Same with indie flicks.

I can't believe you put Empire Strikes Back after Star Wars. In my opinion Empire was the best of the three!

Other then that, very good list.

I don't see how you guys can remember 50 MOVIES. If someone asks me for my favorite 1 movie I have a hard time deciding.

Requiem for a Dream has to be on there... granted this is a favorite 50 so I can't really do much but lobby for it... the film has some of the most imaginative shots ever captured (ie the 45 minute "clean up on speed" scene sped up to one minute...)and great performances... I've owned the film for 3 years and only managed to watch it 4 times... that's all I could stomach... that was the film's intention and I don't think any other film really carries out it's intent better than Requiem.

No American Beauty? THat would easily make most film scholar's top five for the last 10 years. Granted, it hasn't withstood the test of time like Pulp Fiction has begun to, Usual Suspects hasn't and Apocolypse Now has, but there are simply no weaknesses in that film. Come on, at least one of you must have enjoyed it!
