I put these together because not only did I just see them both, but theyre both in a similar style. The truth is, I loved both immensely. Happiness is deeply disturbing and Me and You is just heart felt and hilarious and just a pleasant movie watching experience. Both have incredibly dark humour(especially "Happiness") which I happen to love, though the actual darkness of the humour of Happiness surprised me. Todd Solondz is pretty warped, but that humour really came out and shocked me. I was not expecting these films to be as daring and courageous as they were but they exceeded every expectation. Also, beautiful direction and cinemtagraphy in "Me and You". Miranda July is going to do some good work, I'm sure. Solondz, on the other hand, might just be too fu*cked up to be able to get money to make his movies.

Yeah, Solondz's movies are all really interesting, but always disturbing too. Palindromes did very poorly, but I thought was a great movie. Having multiple actors play the main character worked surprisingly well. Happiness I think was his masterpiece.
I too liked "Me and You". Very truthful film that portrayed flawed heros and heroines. However, I thought it lost pacing toward the end of the second act.
