This movie is sweet. It will become a cult classic. I laughed my ass off. I don't know how to describe the film other than awesome.
See the trailer here. So far it's only got a very limited release, but there's free screenings all over the country. Go to the official website here and click on screenings to RSVP for a free screening near you.
yea man, that movie is awesome, i got to see a free screening about a month ago and it is probably the best movie i have seen in a while. Joren is right, its hard to describe, but seriouly an awesome movie. It was one of the funnist movies i have ever seen, but its only rated PG. Its so funny but doesnt rely on the typical gross/sex/scock humor that many other movies do. IF you get a chance to see this movie, dont pass it up. I know i cant wait to see it again.
Fantastic movie. It's defineatly one of the top ten funniest and well scripted movies I've ever seen. It far surpassed my expectations, and I've been looking forward to seeing it for like a month and half. Go see it.
Yah it was an awsome movie. Very funny especially with all the completely random sequences... like when pedro's head feels hot!?! haha that was hilarious! And also when pedro and Napoleon are working for the farmers?! imean wtf???! Great stuff from the rookie director Jared Hess. Apparently he used most of his friends or people that he met at college as the actors in the film. Another point that i liked was how the movie was so hilarious without cracking one dirty joke. Quite an accomplishment in today's society. Anyways, go see it!

I just saw it today, with the new ending. Man, that movie is incredible. It was nice to watch a movie that didn't rely on sexual jokes and cursing to be funny. It really shows the orignality and the thought the writer put into it. A must see.

I really liekd everything about the movie, There's not any movies about losers (one may say movies like Revenge of the Nerds or American Pie shows 'NERDS' but those aren't real nerds, those are Hollywood nerds) And then along comes Napoleon Dynamite, y

if you could only imagine the amount of long valueable, thoughtful posts i've made which have never seen the light of day! ok, none on HERE, but this weird programming forum loses like half my posts and they're (being programming) REALLY long anb complicated.
back on topic - can't wait to see this!

quote: Don: Hey, Napoleon. What did you do last summer again? Napoleon Dynamite: I told you! I spent it with my uncle in Alaska hunting wolverines! Don: Did you shoot any? Napoleon Dynamite: Yeah, like, fifty of them! They were surrounding my cousin! What the heck would you do in a situation like that? Don: What kind of gun did you use? Napoleon Dynamite: A friggin' twelve gauge, what do you think?
I finally got a chance to see this movie and holy bejeezes it is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Napoleon is my hero, I want to be just like him. I wish I was that hot... But really, if you have not seen this, you are depriving yourself of incredibly fresh, offbeat writing and incredibly funny characters.

I LOVED THE MOVIE. I especially like how subtle the humor is, it's intelligent and not full of fart and sex jokes. It's all about the character and the writer COMPLETELY knows his character and has developed him well. Likewise the film has a very tight style that actually uses editing as part of the movie's wit...it's almost like a Simpsons/Family Guy episode.
Anyway WHAT THE HELL IS THE ALTERNATE ENDING??? Is it available on video already?
