Okay, so I just bought it and watched it. I like it even better than the original. I think the added scenes and the way they did some of the editing and sequences really helped the movie. It certainly made me understand it more.

It was kinda weird...I felt like I was watching a whole new movie. Everything seemed to mean so much more. There was a lot more to the movie than I thought. It really shed a lot of new light on what the movie was really supposed to be about. I would recommend that everyone at least go out and rent this...then buy it....or just go buy it cause you'll want to buy it after you see it anyway.

I seriously hated this movie. Jake Gylenhaal looks like a duck.

Donnie Darko is probably my favorite film, I went to pick it up today but havent seen it yet. By the way anyway ever try to figure out the Donnie Darko website? After my friend and I watched the movie (original) we stayed up the rest of the night trying to figureit out (which we did), so if your bored and dont have anything to do go give it a shot (just google donnie darko and it should be like the first one.)

I really want to see this. I don't have any money to buy it though, so I'll probably stick to renting, lol.

i saw it yesterday. it had a new special effect of an eye that they decided to throw in once and a while, and they had each chapter of the philosophy of time travel put on the screen. other than that, nothing was much different other than some different songs (which were worse of than before, i thought) and some extended scenes/deleted scenes, most of which u find in the deleted scenes section of hte orignal dvd. if ur a hardcore dd fan, go see it, but its nothing to go nuts about.

(note that i got it off of netflix, so i only got disc 1, with no special features. i guess i shouldnt open my mouth till i get a hold of disc 2 of the dd:dc)
