Also known as Belleville Rendevous.

It has that magical escapism that Jeunet is able to create in his world. And it's very grounded in being referential to past comics, both french and american, (although it does take a stab at Disney, but i think it was aimed at towards what they have become now)

it doesn't have any dialogue except in the beginning and the end. but it doesn't matter, because it's drawn beautifully, and it focuses on the little momements in life.

go see it.

I've heard about and just recently saw a preview. I really love the art, want to go see it badly. When does it open?

it already opened. didn't get a wide release though.

but it got nominated for an oscar, so maybe now they'll open it in more theatres trying to get money for it.

check moviefone to see if it's playing in your area
