Hey, I recently saw this film and while I hate everything else that Gus Van Zant and Keanu Reeves have done, I really like this film. River Pheonix kicks ass too and proves that his death has left a huge gap in the acting world. A real indie feel along with some Shakespearean type scenes and probably the best love scenes (if u call them that) that I have ever seen. I want Narcolepsi!

Yeah, River Phoenix was a very talented actor. It's too bad the drugs got the best of him.

I saw the night club he died in when I went to Hollywood last summer. It gave me chills to see it.

How could you love My Own Private Idaho and not like DRUGSTORE COWBOY? Its awesome, and doesnt have Keannu Reeves to annoy the whole film.
BTW, River Phoenix fans check out a song on the net by a band called TISM called "Im On The Drug That Killed River Phoenix".....actually, maybe its called "He'll Never Be An Old Man River"...one of the 2.
