A docudrama is a form of documentary. Coach Carter is not quite a docudrama.

From the trailer it just seemed to be a cross between Lean on Me and Any Given Sunday.

And what does galvanizing mean as far as movies or acting?

I don't want to turn this into a heated arguement in which I will be accused as a racist, but since when were black actor's (who gives a **** what his nationality or race is anyways) still stuck to traditional boundries? I just don't understand that.

Samuel L. Jackson has been in a LOT of movies these days, and most look like crap. So I'm a bit sad about his choice in roles....

then again, its not his fault there's nothing but crappy movies being made. He's gotta make a living! Big Grin

I thought this was a great movie. I rented The Jacket and Coach Carter and watched them back to back and was thrilled with both movies.

Coach Carter is more then a basketball movie. It's a movie about the youth and how our society doesn't give them a chance when they truly have the potential to do anything.

Coach Carter asks one of his players "What is your deepest fear?".

After asking him 3 or four times throughout the movie the kid finally answers in what may be the best speech in a sports movie.

The character development in this movie was done well and I think the movie succeeds because it doesn't rush or force anything.

Timo Cruz is a character they developed with perfection IMO.

I recommend this movie to not only the fans of the sport, but to fans of great movies.

I was planning on seeing that just for the Keira Knightley nudity. Is it worth it?
