Any one out there see "Melinda&Melinda"? Has it been released yet? Can anyone recommend? I'm a huge Woody Allen fan so I was wondering if any of you had heard anything about it recently.

It's been playing at film festivals, but I think it actually gets released sometime in March... of course, it'll probably be limited, so I won't get to see it until it comes out on DVD. I'm really looking forward to it as well, since I'm also a huge Woody Allen fan, and I'm a big fan of Will Ferrell too. I think they're both awesome at comedy in very different ways, so I think it'll be interesting to see how they blend together... and of course the actual concept of depicting the same story as a comedy and a drama is cool too.

Which one(s) was/were your favourite(s)? Tough question when there are so many. "Zelig" and "Stardust Memories" often come to mind but they're not the only ones. "Purple Rose of Cairo" always gets to me and I laugh at the dark comedy of "Crimes and Misdemeanors". And that's still not all. So many.

I love "Annie Hall," and, "Stardust Memories," and, "Love and Death," is probably my favorite "early, funny one." I think my favorite might actually be one that a lot of other Woody Allen fans seem to hate, "Deconstructing Harry." I guess maybe it's because I have a thing for movies about writer's block... but I also really love the joke where his brother-in-law calls him a self-loathing Jew and claims that he probably doesn't even believe the Holocaust exists, to which he says, "Not only do I know we lost 6 million, but the scary thing is that records are meant to be broken!"

Great movie. I love the structure in that one between fiction and reality. How could I forget "Deconstructing Harry". I certainly consider one of Woody's better constructed scripts. Great cast too. It amazes to think that so many great actors have worked at least once or more with Woody Allen.
