I liked Spider-Man, it was pretty cool. Also Bruce is the best ever in the Evil Dead series.

YOU DID A BIIIIIG MISTAKE

you should have watched them in order. Evil dead 1, then 2 and in the end army of darkness. It is so much fun to see how ash changes in every movie and becomes more and more ridiculousBig Grin

I truly and deeply love army of darknessBig Grin it is just so much fun and a hell of good one liners. And the scene where ash builds his hand, the style how it was filmes is just plain cool (zoom ins and in the end his dry commentBig Grin

omg, I have to rent itSmile and the end (im not talking about the original end but the warehouse shooting scene)....awesome

I saw Evil Dead today...much, much, much better than Army...great movie. I was impressed with the gore effects...they were very nicely done. I gotta see Evil Dead 2 now. Also, why is Army of Darkness rated R? It really isn't gory or anything...it's violent, but not as Violent as some PG-13 movies.

imdb.com AOD

Says here it's rated R for violence and horror. I also remember it saying rated R on the box. I still don't see how it's R though.

I guess it is R......but i could swear I've seen it as PG-13.....which it should be........why did sam arimi water it down if it's still R? I thought he had to delute the violence to get a PG-13 so he could get the money from the studio.......

A lot of people think it's gory...since Evil Dead was gory, but AOD isn't. I mean, the goriest scene is probably when Ash saws off that Zombie's head in the pitt, and maybe when the blood shoots out of the pit. Most the violence is against skeletons.

Evil Dead 2 isn't that gory. It's just flat out hilarious. Well... maybe it's got a little gore but it's nothing compared to the first one. Nothing beats the scene where Ash is fighting his own hand.

As for other scary movie recommendations... uhh, Aliens is always a classic. That movie never gets old. The Exorcist is nasty as hell. Event Horizon is pretty scary and gory. The Thing was pretty cool. Uhhh... I dunno. I don't watch that many horror flicks.

Oh Jesus Kyle... I don't know if I should recommend this to you, but I don't even think you'll be able to find it, so who cares:

"Terror Firmer"

Very low-budget gory/comedy type movie. This is probably THE most shocking movie I've ever seen. If you can find it, I have a feeling you will appreciate it. The tagline it "Let's make some art!" This is not a movie to be taken seriously, but anyone who watches it will know this.

I'm just amazed with Sam Raimi. He is a great director. Anyways, I think that:
Evil Dead 1 was supposed to be scary
Evil Dead 2 was half comedy/half scary
AOD- not scary at all, mostly comedy.
I also think the Evil Dead "bootleg" DVD is very cool. It is a DVD shaped as the nekronomicon. I still need to buy it.

The Army of Darkness Bootleg edition has a great cover. You see a paper bag over what seems to have been the real cover and written by hand it says: The Official Bootleg Edition...which is a great oxymoron.

I have the boomstick edition which is cool. has the original feature and directors cut...so in other words, both the bootleg and real version. 2-disk set.

I saw Evil Dead 2 this week and I didn't like it as much as Evil Dead. PEople say it's hillarious and all...I found a lot of it funny...but not a WHOLE lot. The part I thought was funniest was when all the furniture and books are laughing at Ash and so Ash plays along and mimics the lamp bobing up and down...also the part after Ash builds his hand/chainsaw then we slowly go into a CU on his face and he goes, "Groovy" That was funny. But I didn't quite understand what the plot was...people say it was a sequel...and others say it is kinda of a remake...sorta like a different take on the original. I don't see how it could be a sequel based that in the first one there were five people...and now it's just Ash and Linda...but it kinda picks up where the first one left off...even with a sorta prologue of what happened in the 1st....(minus the 3 other characters) Can any one clue me in?

I think Evil Dead is my favorite out of all three of the series. Army of Darkness is probably even with it as well...but I didn't particularily like Evil Dead II. Well I liked it...but it's only something I could watch maybe 2 times, which I did, and remember basically everything that happened...whereas when I watched Evil Dead and Army over a few times I discovered new shi t...along with they are both fun to watch.

Evil Dead for good gore...Army of Darkness for good laughs.

Well I just went out and got my self two videos. The Olsen Twins Go to Rome and Cliford Come Home....two of the scariest, insane, diabolical, sickening films ever made. Holy shi t I crapped my pants looking at the covers.

No but seriously...I found myself Toxic Avenger (the 1st one) and a little obscurity reccomended by Chandler Fuc king Mays, "TERROR FIRMER" Holy God...I havn't watched 'em yet...but I'm gonna tonight (I like watching scary movies at night)

I also watched Dawn of the Dead. Christ this movie was gory. The best parts are the begining SWAT TEAM raid and the ending. The rest was reeeeaaaaaaalllllll slow. good moments...but it focused too much on the stupid people...I wanted Zombies. It was better than Day of the Dead storywise...but I don't know about gore. Day had a guy getting ripped in two and a guy's face being ripped off....Dawn had a guy's intestines ripped out (And eaten) along with a guy's head blown clean off. Both films are extemely slow but the original and remake of Night are the best. scary for the original...gore for the remake. Holy shi t I'm rambling like my grandmother.

HAs anyone seen "REDNECK ZOMBIES"? I almost rented it but found "TERROR FIRMER" and got it instead. Is Redneck Zombies any good???

I also havn't found the movie BAD TASTE. I wanna see it!!!! AHHHHH!!!

redneck zombies kicks ass......from the looks of it they shiot it on VHS.........it was produced by TROMA..........TROMA is the §hit when it comes to sleeze.........

as for evildead 2........2 is like almost a remake of 1........i dont know why they did it that way but they did......its not really a sequel in my opinion.......but i like the balence of commedy to horror in that film.......i think AOD is a little too much comedy.....and ash isn't really didn't really evolve into ash as we know him until 2......2 is actually my favorite......but by a very slim slim slim measurement......there are things in ED 1 that could never be duplicated........

I'm gonna have to get redneck Zombies. Is there an unrated...or R? Or both. Cause I fukin accidently rented Terror Firmer as R. I was fukin pissed as hell....cause I got the unrated director's cut of Toxic Avenger and it was awesome...then I pop in Terror Firmer and it's fukin censored like a bit ch ..some of it was funny, how the director pops up in the scenes in those black boxes and explains what happens...it was funny for awile..then I stopped it cause I was so pissed I got the R version...I gotta look for the unrated
