I saw the movie Sideways last weekend. I thought it was awesome, and very funny. To me it was a very different film. What do you guys think?

I thought Sideways was awesome too... I thought it was a little slow at first, but after I started getting into the characters more I really liked it. I went to see it with a friend of mine who I was sure wouldn't like it at all, because it didn't really seem like his taste, but when I wanted to leave near the beginning because it just didn't seem interesting at all, he said he liked it and wanted to stay. I'm glad he did, because it turned out to be really good. I think Paul Giamatti should've been nominated for Best Actor for it.

Yeah I thought it was great too. The way the characters developed were very natural (no obvious explaining or narration or flashbacks). A little slow, yes, but very real and natural in my opinion.

i can see why it's good, but those guys just act like everyone up here in the bay area, and those people just get on your nerves. talking about wine and being like they're awkward and frail because they are so sensitive to the world and it's nuance.

we have thousands of people like that up here that live their life like that. it really makes me hate wine country and yuppies, and that's what the movie reminded me about.

maybe if i wasn't living up here, i'd like it better.

if nothing else then, you can appreciate its accuracy. i thought it was great. the interactions seemed very real to me.

i wasnt a big fan of it. it was good, judging on the bell curve for another bad year of films. the only parts i liked where when:

SPOILERS

he drank his favorite bottle alone at a Wendy's or something and when his friend still got married.

but I hated when they tried to crash the car and missed the second time. and i hate alexander payne.

He doesn't hate everything. Of course, he likes the essentials: Bruce Campbell, Army of Darkness, beef jerkey, vegitarian ass kicking.

i loved this movie. I dont know **** of wine but i still thoguht it was wonderfull. Because i could relate a lot to the chracter of paul giamatti. I too am depressed and act like a ******* but try to be nice and am always to critical of things. This mnakes me mad sad all the time, never really enjoing life. But instead of wine i have movies. Talk about them like to everyone. The question i ask almost evryone i meet is what are your three favorite movies. I like to think i will know the person if they tell me there favorite movies.

Well i really loved this movie, to me it was more sad than funny. When i watched this film i was mad i didnt go watch it at the theater.
