For anyone that likes Todd Solondz, you will like his latest film. I really liked how he kept changing the actors for the lead part (the girl: Aviva). It increased the innocence of the character, IMO. Like all his other films, at times it's awkward, slow, painful, and downright sickening. I think he has greatly improved the way he uses comedy to break the tension from the insanely intense situations that he creates and is a better writer because of it.
If you didn't like Storytelling, Happiness, or Welcome to the Dollhouse, don't waste your time. But if you like Solondz's style, you will appreciate this film.
