Watched this in my history through film class, and I loved it. It's an Italian film that was made about 15 years ago, and focuses on the growth of a young boy and his fascination with the movies.

Highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it already. I'm sure you'll like it.

i too loved this film!

By the way whch version did you see original or directors. Cause i have only seen Original and everyone practicaly says that the original is better. I guess then after you can watch the directors cut.

Well, i really loved this film. it is a tear jerker though. you should check it out like Mark Denega said and tell us what you think.

Yes, this is an excellent movie. Also, check out Il Postino for another great Spaghetti flick.

We saw the director's cut, which my teacher actually preferred. It was longer and had some scenes that were taken out of the original (mainly ones that had to do with Elena and explaining what happened to her).

Beautiful movie - last ten-thirty seconds affirm that it is one of, if not, the greatest movie ever made (you have to watch the full thing and brace yourself for the human power of this film). The Director manages to convey the emotions from the screen to real life, everyone who watches it will cry, superb film.

Also during the credits I saw an older Elena. I presume, it was like a shot of a lady in a trench coat and a cut to Salvatore. This was in the Original Version BTW.

Yea, the last scene of Salvatore in the theater is phenomenal. I'm hoping to find the DVD online somewhere. I'd love to watch it again.

its funny. if you say that's one of your favorite scenes and you showed it to someone it wouldnt mean anything. That scence is so the perfect ending because its about everything before.

you have to see the whole movie to just see how wonderful that last scene is.

That's kindof true with all movies, I mean like the last scene, the denouement, is the final accumulation of what has happened in the story. Like in Memento, in the way it's told, the last scene in the movie is a build-up of the entire movie, it resolves the entire picture, the loose ends.
