About welfare... Ok I agree with you. Those drug addicts are scum. Those 5 ou 6 guys should be in jail. But...do you think those couple of guys are the ones who REALLY need to live on welfare?Hell no!
A country needs to have welfare. Just imagine... A kid who lost with family in a car accident, a worker that lost his arm working, a soldier gets shot in iraq...There are millions in that situation. We all (rich and poor)may need welfare someday and doesnt matter if you´re rich or not. I know what I´m talking about because my mother is a social worker. Evrey nation should help those who are in need.Bush is a christian and should know that but he doesnt care less. In america, health should be for evreyone but that doesnt happen.

A country does need welfare, but it doesn't need people leeching off of it. I'm not calling for the abolishment of it, I'm just saying that it needs to be completely reconfigured. I know people who are on it with good reason, and I know people who are on it because its there.

No one is arguing (I think) that having a (relatively) healthy population with a reasonable quality of life is not a good thing.
However, the path that has been chosen in most of Europe to achieve this is totally unrealistic in the American context and seems unreasonable at best. We don't want governments like yours. Not that Bush is great, but there are significant problems with a state as overgrown and meddling as in most of Europe.
Bush is a christian and should know that but he doesnt care less.
I remember when Bush was told by the pope "if you go to war, God will not be on your side" and he did it anyway saying 'God told me to do it" haha, isnt it just hillarious the joke they play on us?

You know why I vote Republican? It has nothing to do with war, or abortion, or human rights. It has to do with welfare and section 8, and the fact that it's being abused and the liberals want to continue wasting my tax dollars on these areas of urban decay. It has to do with the fact that I used to work for the state of New Jersey in Newark NJ, one of the most interesting cities in America, and you should see the crap I used to see. You'd know when the welfare checks came because there would be lots of extra activity at the liquor store. I used to have to walk past a government subsidized housing area where folks used to come down from their porch and try to sell me crack. Funny how none of these idiots have the money to pay their rent (so they rely on the government) or the initiative to get a job (but that welfare check is a life saver,) however they have money for drugs and guns. It's really funny how that works. It pisses me off, I have to maintain a job to pay my rent, buy my drugs and guns, etc.
And what happens if you cut them off completely, will the problem just be solved. When I lived in Vancouver there were major problems with addicts stealing public property, public benches, whole phone booths, war plaques and memorials and selling them for scrap metal just to get an extra dime. It's actually a big problem. Unfortunately people will leech off of the welfare system, just as governments will put incapable people like Michale Brown in a serious positon he has no idea how to fill witha big fat paycheck just because of who he knows. Sadly, it's not just happening at the level of people who are addicts (and all the baggage that goes along, causes that addiction) or struggling to get by on their wlefare checks, its happening at the top by the rich too.
