Anyone ever notice that Shaq's been in a total of like 5 movies, and three of them are listed on imdb's bottom 100 (Kazaam, Steel, & Freddy Got Fingered)? That's braggable.

Oh, God, I don't know...now I know what it feels like when you're asked to pick your favorite child...I don't think I can give a straight answer here. But I do know X2, Finding Nemo, Freaky Friday and Matchstick Men are the best movies I've seen this year (all of which I plan to own on DVD), and Punch-Drunk Love (which I currently own on DVD) was the best movie I saw last year. Magnolia, Moulin Rouge, A Beautiful Mind, American Beauty and Spider-Man are all some really great movies I also currently own on DVD. Movies rule! DVDs rule!

I gotto say

American beauty, Donnie Darco, and A clockwork Orange. Also the Godfather series. Im a big Hitchcock fan, and i love almost all of his shorts (only to be seen on hitchcock marathons at like 2 in the morning) But i donno. There are a lot of creative and well done movies out there. Movies are not really about the best of the best.

this guy threw down some dope cinematography, editing, and photography, and a total bullsh|t plot and character development. i dont care what the goals were: the goals sucked. visually i loved it, yet my mind felt used and abused... there was really no point in watching this, although now i'm tempted to watch the commentary to hear his justification for wasting my time, although fearing he's only gonna waste more of it.

i dont care if he grew up watching 70s horror and wants to emulate it: leave me out of that equation!!!

oh and in no order:

1 Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs
2 Beetlejuice, Edward Sissorhands, Batman
3 Requiem for a Dream, Pi
4 Full Metal Jacket, Clockwork Orange
5 Army of Darkness, Evil Dead 1 & 2
6 The Big Lebowski, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?
7 Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Clerks
8 North by Northwest, Rear Window
9 Bound, The Matrix
10 Vanilla Sky
11 Dark City
12 The Crow
13 Back to the Future Trilogy, Indiana Jones Trilogy
14 Nightmare Before Christmas
15 Office Space

OK so i just stopped, B/C there are too many...

BSPEED, dude, Dark City and the Crow are both Alex Proyas films, and you didn't group them together like you did with all the other films you listed, for shame.

I'm not gonna bother with a top ten because it's kinda pitiful, plays out like a joke list, but really what bugs me is the lack of classics on some people's lists. I understand just not having watched one you liked yet, but that just means you're not trying hard enough. If your top ten consists of nothing but films from the past five years, you really need to do something about it. King Rat, not much of a classic, a few people know about it, has the old-timey pacing and is also in B&W, yet, it's still a very enjoyable WWII flick. If you can't expand your horizons like that, there's something wrong with you.

Oh yeah, and for all you Matrix haters out there, try watching the Animatrix without going through a wide array of emotions and having a new respect for those movies, it ain't easy.

Well it's a Black Comedy so what do you expect. The ending of Dr. Strangelove isn't exactly roses either, unless you're one of the lucky ones who gets to go into the caves.
