ya it has to be said, but i must admit im a bit of a hipocrit since i havent (and never will) see the other 2 LOTR. I still say they should have released it as one 9 hour movie back in 2001 and gotten the whole thing over with, instead of armbarring the academy into giving thm so many undeserved oscars, which brings me to my reminder that its only another few months until we get to NOT watch the oscars again, let my *****ing commence!!! I'm sorry you can't see the cinematic value to LOTR. It must be terrible not to be able to appreciate something so wonderful.

On another note, I think the worst movie I've ever seen is "The Cat in the Hat". I was half-forced to see it, and I absolutely hated it. Never waste your time!!!!!!

This topic seems to have dies in momentum, but I must add Armageddon to the list. Now that we have that taken care of, everyone go out and see the films of Werner Herzog.

I just watched Spiderman (the first one) for the second time and I must say its a rather god awful movie, I would say tis worse than LOTR, but only because I only saw the first LOTR.

Well actually ROTK is my least favourite of them. I don't like how Eowyn was represented there and I didn't like the ending (crowning of Aragorn and leaving the Miggle Earth in particular). I also don't get why the hell Jackson used the wide angle shots with the background zoom out in the Shelob cave scene, that absolutely doesn't fit the mood of LOTR (like the first Frodo meeting with Nazgul in FOTR) and has so poopy Hollywood look, BTW I can't stand Liv owning so much time of the movie. But to whom I am writing all of this anyway Big Grin

okay i do not like fantasy films. that being said i suppose that's why I hate the LOTR films. i think that their dialogue is corny and the special effects and fight scenes can sometimes be Sci Fi channel calibre. i dont like, hell ill go so far as to say i hate the films, but i wouldn't go so far as to put them as the worst films known to man. I reserve those for pieces of **** like Supernova, Resident Evil Apocalypse, Aliens Vs. Predator, Jingle All The Way, oh and i dunno, I love Tony Scott but there was just no excuse for The Fan...

The Manson Family.

I just hired out this weekend. Terrible, terrible movie. Cheap video effects that look it was done on Windows Movie Maker, pathetic acting and a boring story. Ill watch doco's on Manson anyday over this pile of dog crap. All Cheech and Chongs flicks apart from the first one are pretty bad aswell, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (George Clooney), TOP GUN! The most homoerotic flick this side of a Gay porn.

Ernest Saves Christmas-

WORST MOVIE EVER! Ya know what I mean Vern?

no way, Ernest Goes to Camp, the first one was the best, with the golf cart that runs randomly driverless throughout the film. And its pretty interesting to know that Jim Varney was actually a major Shakespearean actor in like London too

He was probably the best actor I've seen when it came to using facial expressions. The way he would go "Eeeeewwwwww" was awesome. I just bought Ernest goes to camp as an ex-rental for $2.
