This is Wes Anderson's new film, currently named, "The Darjeeling Limited". It was written by Anderson, Jason Schwartzman, and Roman Coppola. I am incredibly hyped for it, but have no idea when it comes out. If anyone has any info on a release, or what is going on with the production or would just like to join me in cloudy excitement, feel free to post.

The most specific date I got was that it's being released in the fall 2007 and according to imdb...it's currnetly filming.

A friend of mine works for Wes. They've recently finished the principal photography in India and the film is now being edited in Paris. I've read the script; it's pretty good. I think any fan of Anderson's style will dig it.

Hey there Wes fans...I've read the script as well and I think it's good too. I think Wes is getting further out there but this feels more reigned in than the last feature did. As an Indian-American, I was afraid he was going to use the entire country as the butt of a joke (I love Wes, but his Indian characters are certainly comic relief), but I was happy with what I read.

I can't wait to see it!

Had he actually died, I think they would have delayed the release, which would have sucked, or if they didn't delay the release, there would be an even larger reception. I'm glad he's ok though. I would imagine his writing was at least semi-included in that Tenenbaum script and losing a future collaborator with Anderson would suck. In the end, though, I think it will boost box office numbers. Any publicity is good publicity, as they say.
