I have to run to work right now, so I can't give a well-thought out answer, but the short conceited answer is . . . mine!

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky.

Great, involving story about being young.

"We Die Alone" By David Howarth

How was I supposed to know it was a guy in a suit?Besides, anyone willing to wear a Mickey Mouse suit deserves to get hit by a car...that and my brakes failed, kind of.

"Young Goodman Brown" (I can't remember the author's name right now) is one idea I've been throwing around. If you don't know what it's about then ask me.
My Sophomore English teacher also used to say that the reason no one's ever made "Catcher in the Rye" into a movie is because it's just too hard to capture Holden's thoughts and feelings on film. I offer this as the ultimate challenge to any film maker.

Oh, I also forgot "A&P" by John Updike. Girls, bathing suits, grocery stores, and horny teenage guys. Doesn't get much better/simpler than that.

"Enders Game" by Orson Scott Card
I hear the screenplay is in development, but it has been as such for years. Wish I could make it.

"Wizards First Rule" by Terry Goodkind

"Their Eyes Were Watching God" was a novel written by Zora Neale Hurston in 1937 and then found and brought to the main stream in the late 70's by Alice Walker(who wrote "The Color Purple") Anyway, this is a beautiful story about life and most especially love and it would play very well on screen I believe. I'm not sure if any low productions have been made of the story but as far as I know it has not been made yet.

Michael Moore should do a DOC. on how terrible our current president is. He would be great at uncovering all those oil scandals that Bush was part of in the 90's and how he will be responsible for the deaths of many Middle Eastern in the months to come and also showing Bush's single handed attempt to dismantle the U.N. Yeah Bush is a F*cker and someone need to expose it to the mass public.
