i am planning to make a film soon about a mans lust for Maria Sharapova soon (shes a tennis player for all who didn't catch WImbeldon. I doubt i could get her to appear in my film, and im sure it would be illegal to get someone to impersonate her. Any suggestions on what to do?
On another note how hot is Maria Sharapova? I bet theres not a man in the world who wouldnt want her. She single handedly reignited my love for tennis.
I don't know who Ms. Sharapove is, and was too lazy to look her up, so i can't vouch for the second half of that question. as far as impersonating her, i don't know why it would be illegal, unless you specifically stated that it was her and not an impersonator. Shows like Saturday night live and Mad Tv impersonate people all the time. Same with radio commercials where they impersonate a celeb's voice. Even Adult movie's like "star balls" are being allowed. George Lucas lost a major lawsuit against the makers of that "film" because it was considered parody. Maybe add an "all celebrities were impersonated" disclaimer before or after the movie.

make sure u dont do a film on some tennis player who will be long gone by the time u finish, i mean the most famous tennis player kournikova doesnt even play anymore. so just make sure shes not some Martina Hingis who will be here and gone so fast that ur movie is outdated by release

What i would do is make up a ficitonal character because like Dawson said tennis players come and go out of the spotlight alot. Plus it seems just less work to make her up then to have to make someoen act like her... because lets say she does get and stay famouse then people might end up watching your movie and not paying attention to the story... instead they will be like... That is a bad impression of her or... thats not how she talks... blah blah blah
