Anyone else seen it? I thought it was a very good movie except for the mushy part at the end.(not giving away the ending Smile ) That kid wasn't even part of the real Z-boys and I'm assuming the director thought she needed get some kind of an emotion from the audience so she stick that little story in. I hate it when they do that. It ruins the entire movie.

I thought it was entertaining, but it didn't have much character development, so I can't say it was a good film. You never really got to know the characters enough to know why each of them chose to do what they did, and that part about what they chose to do was very quick, and I completely missed that some characters had changed, until they got all weird. So fun film, but not neccesarily a good film.

I've also heard the doc is outstanding. But nother doc called "Stoked" portrays the 80's skate scene (anyone remember Vision Street Wear!) and the skater named "Gator" Mark Anthony, who had a breakdown and killed some woman. It's a really creepy film that makes you feel weird but it really encapsulates the lte 80's skate scene. If you get a chance check it out.

I've seen the documentary too, very good. Although, correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't Stacy Peralta (the one who did the doc) the executive producer on the Lords of Dogtown too?

Ive seen the zboys doc about 20 times, it's always on IFC. I dunno about the movie, it looks like a remake of a doc except with "real" actors. I think Peralta wrote the script for LODT though, so it might be ok. I didnt like Gator as much as zboys, but its almost worth sitting through just to see him try to street skate after being a vert skater for so long.
