just saw this, blew me away! best way to describe it is a little bit of french connection (both were done by william friedkin) and miami vice. great soundtrack as well...for an 80s flick. (it was done by wang chung) and the car chase into oncoming traffic was incredibly exhilarating! sure there are some buddy cop movie cliches-im getting to old for this s hit, for example. but still a great movie.

hey i started a topic about this like 3 months ago. im glad someone finally saw it. i actually felt the tv edited version was better. during all the kill scenes it had great cuts that were all "tell but dont show" and stuff. im always sad whenever someone talks about "that cool guy from csi" will peterson.

i must have missed that topic...the only reason i wanted to see it is because it has some kick ass poster art. Wink i thought the violence added to the grittiness of it. like the shotgun shot at the end had quite an effect on me. but there were a few shots were you couldnt see what happened when dafoe was killing off people.

yeah i liked it alot. its a shame friedkin has only done three great movies and then a whole lot of crap.
