Everybody needs to watch this trailer:

I can't wait for this movie. Seriously it looks awesome. I see Spielberg and historical drama written and I just get to thinkin' of "Schindler's List" then start drooling at the mouth.
Looks like local boys Bana and Rush have gotten pretty big parts (Bana is the standout in the trailer/first billing)
It probably won't be out in Australia 'till 2008 but still, it looks pretty sweet. Anyone else excited about this film?

No way! He took a break back in the early-90's! Smile

Seriously if I had access to all his actors/crew/money I would be working 24/7. **** taking a break I'd want to be making the most of it!

Ah good. He's back on track. He's got an Abe Lincoln piece coming up too.

I don't necessarily think Spielberg has the heft to do justice to political material. His stuff has never been socially or politically engaged - yet somehow in the late '90s to the common moviegoer he's acquired a reputation as something more than a skilled purveyor of popular entertainment.

The revisionist, kind of wishy-washy pro-Palestinian implications towards the end of the trailer herald the eventual stance of the film, IMO. Doesn't seem too exciting.
