It's a bit weak. I didn't get if it was supposed to be funny or scary. It came across as neither. If you took out the title cards it would have made no sense at all.

I like the shadow putting on the mask, but stabbing the air in the same shot made it so less funny.

I would say figure out the moments you are trying to parody and concentrate on letting an audience in on the story you are trying to tell. For instance Space Balls worked great on its own, even if you'd never seen Starwars or Aliens. Right now it looks like you're making a movie for...well.. the people who made the movie. And that's fine too, just don't anticipate people outside that circle to appreciate it.

Also you seem to be confused at what movie you are parodying. It looks more like scream and Indiana Jones than Saw.

i get your point, I think it's also more fun for the people who know the first two films. It was indeed ( i see know) that the shadow probably had to pose with the knife and stand still.

It's mainly spoofing saw, but more the situation of the characters, but besides that the movie spoofing, next to Saw, a lot of other movies and series like in different genres (no country for old man, lost in translation, prison break, the office. So I thought I spoof that element from the indiana trailer.
