This movie brings the house down. Jet Li delivered an awesome performance, and the message portrayed is excellent.
I realize the movies horribly inaccurate historically, but the message and the beauty is there, and I loved it.

I thought it was mediocre. Way too much wirework, everything undercranked, and crappy MTV-style editing with plenty of CG. The middle act also dragged.
OTOH it was kind of interesting to see Jet Li playing a different character from his standard type. OUATIC is still far superior.
I thought the movie felt butchered. The middle act was waaaaay too short. This felt like a three hour epic cut down to two. The change didn't have nearly the emotional pull it would have if it had been allowed time to mature in the village. Also some of the fighting got repetitive. The fight in the middle was very intense though.
But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

I thought it was much better then a lot of other Asian Cinema recently. Such as House of Flying Daggers and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
I was glad that it wasn't ALL stylized fighting. It seemed to me that wire work had been toned down a lot.
