Im hoping its going to be awesome... Bale is a good actor and it seems like Nolan has the directing down nicely... as long as its a dark film I will be happy... shumacker messed it all up with his batman film

i don't like that he's using just regular police cars and regular contemporary streets. i've always liked that batman had this faux-30's from the future thing going on.
also in the trailer, when Bale speaks, he just reminds me of Jim Carey. and that suit.......
man, why do they keep messing it up.

I'm not a big fan of the new batmobile. It's not bad I just like the one from Tim Burton's flicks the best. But this movie is going to be awesome, I just hope Nolan does a better job than Insomnia (I was let down by that movie). And I agree, Christian Bale is a great actor and the perfect choice.

RFranco: Christian Bale reminds you of Jim Carey? What what WHAT? No way, if you haven't already, go watch American Psycho and Equilibrium and you'll see just how good Bale is at playing an emotionally detached action hero. On the other hand, I do agree with you about the contemporary settings. I, too, have always liked a Gotham City that looked like nothing else ever before.

Actually, if you watch the "confession" scene on the phone near the end where Bateman leaves a message on his lawyer's answering machine, it is similar to Jim Carey.

I think this Batman film looks great. This series was meant to be dark, and it's good to see that it might finally be done the right way. And Nolan rocks.
Weird, I just don't see the Jim Carey connection at all, even in American Psycho. Oh well. As far as dark, I always thought Burton's Batman movies were dark enough. The teaser that they're showing now looks more like a Nolan movie, not a Batman movie. Hopefully we'll get another trailer fairly soon.
