Did anyone watch that special on teh sci-fi channel about knight last night?
Man, some of that stuff was pretty trippy, I wonder how much of it was true. I love how knight ties in his life to his movies.
for instance:
Knight fell in a frozen pond and was legally dead for 35 minutes. Now think about unbreakable and Bruce Willis in the pool . . .hm? Now think about Signs and how the Aliens died by water . . . interesting?
He also does other weird stuff, like all his shooting locations are within a 30 mile radius, ans he'll never go outside that.
Also he has his actors and crew memorize quotes to throw people off him.
Did you know Johnny Depp was to play the Mel Gibson role in signs?
This is just some of the interesting and weird stuff that floats around him, you guys gotta watch this thing if it ever comes on again.

I don't like him, I just think he's gotten too far into being the "weird scary guy" (though I don't find his movies weird or scary, thus his personality is kinda...I dunno...he needs to try something new)
but what was the "buried secret" ? or whatever...i heard the whole controversy around it was BS, but what was it?

Nut its on again tonight from 11 to 2. on Sci Fi, so donut you can check it out then.
Well Kyle you see, back in 18 soemting, you know the old days. A kid was drowned in that same spot. After Knight fell in and woke back up, he drew a picture of a boy. The boy was exactly the same as in teh 18 something drawing. So people are wondering what happened in that 35 minutes when Knight was "dead." It was actually really scary seeing everything unfold like that.

Not to be picky, but I don't think M. Night's name has a "K" at the beginning!
As for the movie, I haven't decided if I'm a big fan or not. I really liked THE SIXTH SENSE, but thought the rest of his movies have gone downhill and gotten progressively worse. Just my opinion.
I'll see THE VILLAGE and really hope it's better than he's previous attempts.
Of course, if I could average films like that . . . !
I just dont think his movies have any re watchability. You pretty much get the whole kist of them in one viewing (as in, I have no desire to see any of them ever again)
Though I think Unbreakable is his strongest piece of work, I just thought it was a good story, and good characters.

Dude I love M. Night's work. As for the documentary it was interesting how everything falls together but it all seemed so fake.
Like when the kid at the gate says "you do know about M Night right?" and the other kid's like "Dont do it, Dont tell him" making it soo dramatic. There's so many other things too. like the kid in the mirror. The mirror had a sheet over it revealing just plenty for the shot. It was a little too convenient. and the fact that the cameraman mentioned that he saw something in the room. Making the audience wanna stay to see when they play back the dailies(Cause we all know that film actually captures ghosts). too fake for me

I saw the promos but they seemed just a little too "Paranormal Investigations" to me. My mom was all stoked about it though, and i have yet to get her feelings on it (Then again, she could'nt wait to see "I, Robot" so... there ya go)
As to the stuff discloused about his life... SOB stole my angle!!! I too drowned as a child (at the age of 3) and was medically dead (Heart not pumping, no oxygen getting to the brain)_for far longer then 35 minutes. I was in a coma for almost three days and the doctors speculated I would be a vegetable (Some would argue that I am) but i came out of it with rather vivid "out of body/Heaven" descriptions that a 3 year old should not have known so... Im still gonna use it to further my career if possible, but now it seems redundent.

They should just leave it as is. I liked the "documentary." It was fun and even a little terrifying to watch at times. I think night is a cool dude for going along with it, he was jsut having fun.

It would have been a cool idea if they scaled back the BS. At three hours the "Buried Secret of M. Night" is an endurance event. Plus why not shoot a doc on dv? They used film and the whole thing looked too polished, thereby (along with bad acting and cliched foreshadowing) it came off as phony right away. A real behind the scenes doc at about 60 min trt would have been way better.
And just for any knuckleheads actually believing the drowning, the ghosts, the crows and the parralells to the movies please drop me an email I have a bridge to sell ya.
Oh well M. night is still the man and the 6th sense one of my top ten. Hell top five!

i don't know about you guys but i can't wait for "The Village" to come out friday. M. Night is one of my all time favorite directors. I think it's going to be a little different from his last two films. He's said he was going to change it up a bit after "Signs" so maybe he'll suprise it. But regardless i'm going to go see it opening day.

i hope most of you realized the doc was fake halfway through...it was pretty obvious by the time they got to the whole "crow" thing. anywho, it was pretty entertaining to watch.

Yeah I could tell it was fake but it was kind of fun to watch... I think they could have made it better if they had lower quality cameras and stuff and maybe made it a little bit shorter. But all in all i had nothing better to do and it kept me entertained.
