1000 times better than the last films. I'm glad it didn't have a "Y tu mama" surprise ending! Seriously though. The film was wonderful. I knew from the instant the film began. The scene with Harry casting the light under his sheet for the title sequence was an excellent way to begin. -Chris Studentfilms.com

yeah i agree... saw it opening night, and was quite suprised by this movie...
i went into it with little to no hopes, and came out BLOWN away...
i hadn't read the books before, so the TWIST at the end (cough, time traveling) was awesome.
this movie was great, and any skeptics should go check it out for themselves...
i disagree with chris, i think it was 999,999,999,999x better than the other two...
just go see it for yourselves... peace

i LOVED it!!! they made an excellent choice having alfonso cuaron direct it! very beautifully made film! i loved how this one seemed a bit more contemporary than the first two...not just with wardrobe, but with the soundtrack as well. the acting was INCREDIBLE! i loved gary oldman and peter thewlis, they had great onscreen chemisrty! sirius and lupin have always been my two fave characters since i first read the book some years ago...i was so thrilled at how well those characters came to life on the bigscreen! *dreamy sigh of reverie* i love these books and movies...i love the whole damn harry potter franchise! makes me feel 10 years younger!

It was very enjoyable, and I liked the darker mood it had compared to the first two, but I really didn't like the story. It focused on things I didn't think were as important as some of the story-lines that were left out (from the book). I laughed when I heard Gary Oldman interviewed saying the only reason he took the part was because he hasn't worked in over a year and he needed a paycheck. As opposed to Emma Thompson saying she took the part to impress her kids. ...She was wonderful as Professor Trelawny, btw. I loved the movie! I saw the first movie twice in movies and ones on computer, but this one was really great! It had it's things that I didn't like acctually. LIke someone before said about the forest... Really didn't look like one all the time and someone said that there was things missing (from book), it's true. 2 of my friends has read the books and we saw the movie together. They complained alot because they tought that they had missed alot of good stuff from the books. I haven't read the books... yet. Otherwise the movie was as good as the ones before. I can't wait to see the next one... or is there a next one? I'm not sure if they were going to do movie of all the books?

yeah - the others were shot like a tv series. this one was wonderfully shot and lit. it looked great. most of the changes to the story seemed good. the envirnoment was fantastic - the huge clock with the pendulem in the entrance hall! the covered bridge! awesome! the story seemed a bit rushed. most of the effects were good. the werewolf sucked (IMO) but Buckbeak and Sirrius were really cool. the dementors should NOT have flown - it was visually weird looking, they would have been freakier gliding along the ground like Rowling had them. and the patronus was a little odd too. but all in all, FIVE STARS, TWO THUMBS UP, ETC! | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Draco malfoy was reduced to comic relief which was kinda cheesy Quidich would get a bit old if they kept doing huge sequences... but a little more would be cool. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Wodehouse

good thing about the two installments - of course one LONG movie would be better, but the preschoolers can't sit through it, so two installments is better then a rushed version of a 750 page book. bad thing about switching the director! what's WRONG with them?? lol...
