OK, i know these two movies have nothing to do with eachother. I just picked them up yearsday at blockbuster at the same time on my You-have-no-life-so-go-to-blockbuster-and-pick-up-some-movies-to-watch-alone-on-a-saturday-night-athon.
Both of these movies are excelent. UNBREAKABLE was made M. Night Shamalan (sp?) after he did the six sense. UNBREAKABLE is awsome. Its about a guy (bruce willis) you finds out he cant be hurt or get sick ever by an accident prone Samuel L Jackson. Unbreakable is a must see if you like Night's work and twist endings.
Memento is also great (i liked it more that unbreakable). My bro raved about it so i had to go pick it up. It stars guy peirce as a man who has no short term memory. He must over come this problem as he hunts down his wife's killer. Along the way, people come to help him...or decieve him to use his problem to their advantage. ALso. it has a twist ending.
both these movies are great and anyone who isnt brain-dead should go see them.
Later.

yeah, Unbreakable is my favorite M Night movie...mainly cause Samuel L Jackson owns and so does Willis.
Memento is pretty awesome too.
And Alex C, if ya like thrillers like those movies, check out some David Lynch movies bro; Blue Velvet & Lost Highway <----Great movies

Hah, I did the same thing too, I got "The Deer Hunter" , "Requiem for a Dream" & "Tears of the Sun"
This movie was a classic example of how to make an extremely slow story that will boar anyone to tears. Don't get me wrong, I love M. Night, but the movie was a drag. He should have left act 2 and 3 in the screenplay, and it would have had great flow.

Oh really? That's nice... I wasn't talking to you. I really don't care for your opinion anyway. But as far as his best stuff. The 6th Sense and Stuart Little (screenplay) are my favorite. Signs sucked but Unbreakable is one of my all time least favorite movies out of Hollywood.

This is by far the worst movie I have seen with Bruce Willis in it, and by far one of the worst movies I have ever seen made as a studio feature.
Have you seen the crap studios have done? Hows about "The Postman" or "From Justin to Kelly" or "Crossroads"? I watched, and enjoyed Tears because it took a very real look at a very real issue. Atleast there was a moral and a truth within. What is the message behind "From Justin To Kelly"? If you go to south beach, and break into song you will be loved by women? Maybe by men, but not women. The "worst" comment was just a bit over the top for me. R. Michael

I really liked MEMENTO, but didn't really care for UNBREAKABLE (I guessed the ending). I felt that THE SIXTH SENSE was a better M Night movie (and one of my favorites!).
For me, there are great movies, good movies, average movies and bad movies. Then there are movies that go into the "worst movie" category. And there are too many of them!
As for FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY, until someone told me what it was about, I thought it was about a sex change!
Back to M Night movies, it seems in reading this board (and others) that either UNBREAKABLE or SIGNS are the favorites, but not SIXTH SENSE. I seem to be one of the few who really liked that movie. Anyone else get that? Any particular reason why it's that way?
Just curious!

I liked it...thought it was different and original, but I just liked Unbreakable a little more. I'm not a HUGE fan of either.
But Mark, that From Justin to Kelly thing you said...about the sex change...oh man I was busting up. How about that movie "The Real Cancun"? I saw it on the shelves of my video store only like 2 months after it was realesed!
