I think 28 Days Later.. is the best Zombie esque film ever made. I personally think it surpasses everyother one ever made, including Night of the Living Dead. It really captured what Horror films should be about.

Zombie was decent, but I predited the whole last shot (Manhattan Zombies) the movie started off real slow, but around the end it got better...I wish the budget would of allowed a better more powerfull ending (Somewhat to 28 Days Laters....having the people return from the island finding a baron wasteland of NY....and Zombies overrunning the place)

Kyle nailed it. 28 Days Later is better than them all. It is crazy awesome. I was thinking about it today, and I realized I hadn't bought the DVD.

It's also great because in the climax of the movie, all that is playing for music is a single guitar. I love it. It fits perfectly.

I'd have to say that dawn of the dead is by far the best zombie film ever made, since it mixes horror with social commentary in a what that had never been seen before. Also, you have to respect Romero's trilogy because without them there never would have been many of these other films, especially 28 days later which borrows heavily on the trilogy with particular emphasis on dawn and day. These films set the stage for zombie films and it seem that people here don't appreciate the classics the way they should because they think they are too "old" or just haven't taken the time to see them. Anyway, thats my rant but I'm a film studies student so I guess I'm suppose to seem errogant and push the classics.

i loved the first 45 minutes or so of 28 Days Later until they met the completely inept military at the Mansion and Jim suddenly became a bike courier ninja (yes im aware they wanted to him to look like he was infected with rage...but super ninja Jim?). I never found it scary but after watching the DVD and seeing how normal everything out of frame was (in one deleted scene they had a row of abandoned cars merely blocking the view of a fully functioning highway)...now thats great filmmaking.
