How hard is it to get actors for NO budget films? I'm writing my first feature that i want to film, but the actor factor is looming over my head. It kind of ruins your creative process while thinking your not going to be able to film your movie.
I wouldn't be able to pay my actors. I have no idea where to find any willing actors in my area(Central Florida.) I'm writing a action film based in Mexico (it's inspired by Rodriguez's Mariachi/Desperado movies), but i will be filming here in Florida. So i want an all Mexican cast. I don't know any actors and i'm kind of limited on friends to act in it. I'm way far off from filming.
Any advice on finding actors to work for free, would be helpful. Thanks.

Gunslinger look into your towns and surrounding towns community players groups. If they have regular publications that they send out contact the editors of said publications and see if you can run an ad in them. You may or may not find what your looking for. Personally I tried that and I got responses of varying ages, some good, some not so good. But the point is, that even if I cant use them for this particular feature, I take their picture(or their headshot if they have one available) and keep it in a file for the next project. Anywho give it a try, nothing to lose.

I graduated from an adult school out here in Polk county.

I don't have much trouble finding actors. The secret is to write using what you have. Otherwise, things are going to be harder.
