Well, the last time I posted here looking for a film to compose for I got quite a few offers and I haven't heard from any of the people that made the offers in over 3 months, so I'm asking again.

If anybody needs music for their film, then feel free to contact me on AIM or by Email. If you want some samples of my music I have a bunch of them in a link below.

Thanks in advance.

It's not unusual to have directors disappear in the early stages of the game. This is partly due to the fact that directors just have a lot to do to get their film done, and music is usually last on the list. Keep in mind that most of the filmmakers on this site just steal music from the internet and use it, so why should they bother with having to deal with a composer? To break that mindset, you're going to have to be proactive. If you haven't hear from them in awhile, call them. Don't wait for them to get back to you. If you give someone a demo, wait a few days and then call them. There's such a overabundance of composers these days, that unless you make the effort to keep in contact, you're not going to get the gig. It's persistence, not talent, that lands gigs. I'm a professional composer, and it's just the same in the professional ranks. I'm constantly sending out emails just to check in, see how production is going. The director who stays in regular contact while the film is still in production is rare.
The other thing that happens on this site is that there's a lot of talk about making films (Yeah, dude, I'm making this movie and I'd love for you to do the music when I get it done!), and yet few of the films get finished. Personally, I don't work with first time filmmakers. If they've finished at least one film, then I'll think about it. I've had too many first time directors bail out in mid project. I've put in a lot of time and effort, and they never finish the film. There's a lot of talk. That's not bad or good, it just is. It's the nature of a student site. There are composers who are the same.
I hope this helps.

I actually was quite persistent with them about the films I was "supposed" to compose for, and then they stopped responding. So I would email again, yet nothing. There is one guy that is still holding strong, but the actual script writer won't be done for about another month or two.

I might end up sticking with Video Game music, as it seems to be much easier to get gigs. I'll still write music if anybody is interested, but don't bother if you aren't serious, and don't say you are if you know you aren't. I'm an overly anxious 19 year old composer looking for a future in music, yet I have yet to find any really good experience from anybody's projects.

So please, at least give me SOMEthing to compose for.

If you need music, email(CBlockDis@aol.com) or message me on AIM(CBlockDis)
