I am an experienced Producer/Director shooting an edgy comedy later this summer on DV and I'm looking for a DP experienced in DV. Up front, there is no Pay but the usual benefits. The film is targeted for festivals and cable TV. It's a Woody-Allenish comedy and I'm looking for a unique look with shorter lighting set-ups. In the past my features have all been shot on film but I'm now shooting a string of DV films leading up to features again. My partner and I have 40 years of experience between us and are trying to make high quality dv shorts on shoestring budgets as an aside from our production business. Please have the time, interest and reel to prove experience. The 30 minute short will probably be shot over 8-10 days spread out over two months. I want a soft, high chroma, sophisticated look. We have gotten it on DV music videos so we know it's doable but my partner, who is a top NYC cinematographer, wants to Produce only on this project so the call is out.
