Damn it, now when I ask the same thing in 6 months my post will seem contrived. Then no one from Sacramento will want to help me out. I guess I'll have to look in Davis.

Like I said, that'll be a while. Just started playing around with video in Feb. You know, screwing around with some friends and a camera. I'm starting to get the hang of it. Of course I probably shouldn't have started off with a 70 minute project. Sure it's neat that I did it, but I think I could have done a better job if I had started with short movies then worked on a long one. And probably if I had used more equipment than just the camera.
Tell me what you think dude, The Voice of Reason. I started in early March and finished the first week of August. It's like 133 meg.

Damnit, I'm not able to download it!!!! ARGHHH!!! I spent like 12 minutes letting it download onto my desktop and then it won't open. Do you have it in WindowsMediaPlayer? If so, I don't have that...anymore....I had it for awile (along with RealPLayer) but my computer crashed and everything got screwed. I'll try and download it though at my friends house.
Can you tell me anything about it though? Where you filmed it? What it's about? ect...
Yeah sure. I filmed it at a number of locations in Sacrmaento and Davis by recruiting a number of friends and people I met at KDVS, a community radio station. Filming was done with a Sony Digital 8 camera, a tripod, and whatever light was available at the location. Editing was done at the UC Davis Meyer Media Lab (which I sadly no longer have access to since I've graduated) on a G4 with Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Photoshop. (With help from Premiere) Music was provided by Edgen Animations, freeware loops from flashkit.com, a clasical music song, and Julie Bruce
As for the story, I've had a tendency to describe it as six different groups obsessed with world domination trying to catch or kill a guy named Alan because he will be responsible for creating a seventh world domination candiate.
I go into more detail on the website. I've also got some avi trailers, which I don't think capture the comedy tone of the movie, but do a pretty good job covering the adventure tone. http://www.angelfire.com/indie/kdvssurivor/.
