Hello,

I'm working on my senior thesis project about a robot! I'm the producer, editor and sound editor on this while my friend is the director and director of photography. I'm inquiring about two sound effects. One is from "The Empire Strikes Back", my favorite film. It is the sound of the carbon chamber powering up. Does anyone have this sound effect and if they do could you please email it to me at brian.lonano@gmail.com I'd appreciate it a great deal. Secondly, I'd like to put my favorite scream sound, "The Wilhelm Scream" into the film. I happened to have a good version of it but I was wondering if there is any copyright issues I have to clear in order to use the sound. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks very much in advance.

Brian

You'll have copyright issues if you're using ANY sound you didn't make, which isn't licensed to you royalty free. That includes the SW sound.

The important question is, will anyone care? Are you making money off of it? Mass distributing it? You know what I mean Smile

Just go to www.findsounds.com and type in star wars, it should be in there somewhere.
