Hello, all...Dan Gross here! For those of you unfamiliar with me or my films, feel free to visit http://www.putfile.com/dansfilms.
Anyways, I got a new film up! (Yeah, once in a blue moon, I know) It's called UConn Adventure Race 2006, and as you can probably imagine, it's a video about my college's annual adventure race that UConn Rec hired me to do. I know all of my films have gotten middling reception to this point, but I truly believe you guys will really like this one...I exercise a good amount of my trademark vision, but yet also there really is a good, entertaining story to tell here, and I followed a lot more of the documentary fundamentals to do it (interviews, etc...). When the UConn Rec guys saw it, they liked it so much they sent DVDs of the video to all the race entrants, and hired me to do a rock climbing orientation video! They're even gonna pay me to do it, too!
OK, I'll stop the excessive tooting of my own horn here, haha, and just let you take a look at my film and decide for yourself what you think. PLEASE REVIEW IT! And to all you viewers out there going "Uggh, a student documentary", hear me out...it's short and sweet, very fast paced, and I tried to make it as entertaining as I can with music throughout. Some of the choices might seem a little cliche, but you have my sister (who produced this) to thank for that.
So anyways, if you got 6 spare minutes, just click and enjoy! Hope you like it!
P.S. For those of you confused about what the opening segment is about, it's a preliminary meetup of the Adventure Race committee that took place in February, 2 months before the actual race.
