Alright. Here's an idea. This thread is for people who want more reviews. Anyone can post as long as they promise to review other posters' films. You should review at least the same number of films that you're posting yourself. (i.e. if you post 3 films, review 3 films) You do not have to review the person who reviewed your film. Another idea is to try and review a film of similar length (within 5 or 10 min) to yours. That way not everyone is critiquing the 2 minute films. Also try not to snoop around for the best-rated film you can find. Click on a film and watch, regardless of rating. You should give honest and thorough reviews. If you give low reviews, give good truthful reasons and perhaps offer suggestions as to what they could do better next time.
So to summarize: 1. Post your films with genre and length 2. Select same number of films (or more) from other posts to review. If you can, pick roughly the same length films that you put up. 3. Be honest and review the film you first clicked on regardless of its current rating. 4. Make sure your review is thorough. Nobody wants a one-line review and nobody wants to be bashed. Simply state what you think needs improving. 5. Click "notify" at the top so you will know when other filmmakers put their films on here.
Here are links to my films. Two music videos at 5 minutes a piece.
In this music video for the beatles song "come together", we crashed the sorority bid-day event at Elon University, one of the country's biggest Greek school's. The girls at the end are all running to their new sorority houses and I had the actor run out in front of them so it appeared they were running after him. Made in February of 2005. http://www.studentfilms.com/film/get.do?id=1073
this is a video for the green day song "boulevard of broken dreams" i made this back in November of 2004, before it got so horrendously overplayed on radio and tv. http://www.studentfilms.com/film/get.do?id=1072

Hi, I'm Steven Krimmel, Co-Director of "Projectionist" which has a trailer up on the main page. Of course a big reason why I put the film on this site is to get detailed opinions about my work from regular viewers and other filmmakers. As of right now there hasn't been too much reviews and those there haven't gotten into details on all aspects of the trailer, so I've been left dissapointed. I've come here with the hope of attracting more people to the trailer and getting some serious reviews of my work. This is a not quite finished movie that i started over the summer with my friend and it's been hard to get together to finish all the scenes because we don't live so close to each other. It's only a 5 minute trailer and I know that's overlong for a trailer, but it's more of a preview in trailer form getting across as best as I could, with condensing as much as I could, the story and style of what is trying to be made in this movie. It was in a way contructed to be a very watchable short film in trailer form, I wasn't just trying to make an advertisement. And when it comes to the genre, it's hard for me to say what it is exactly. I'll just point out you can see it as a psychological thriller, dark comedy, and maybe slasher horror. LOL.
http://www.studentfilms.com/film/get.do?id=1062 Please check the trailer out and keep in mind not to take everything, like our protagonist, too seriously. The quality isn't perfect either. Thank you to those that respond.
Also I just want to make it clear that this trailer doesn't reveal too much of the film. The movie in it's entirety may be about 45 minutes although when I was writing it I was aiming for shorter than that, but to make a film work when it comes to the story and characters, you have to put all that's necessary to get what you want across.
