I really want to get a patent/copyright/trademark/whatever for my production company name, "Nothing Official Productions". Not for any practical reason, mind you...just so it's "official". I do plan on keeping that name for the rest of my career, so I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to copyright it now.
Now, my question: How in the hell do I get that done? And....does anyone know even a ballpark figure for how much that costs?

It's never a bad idea to protect something you care about. However, what you need to protect a brand name is a trademark (TM). Copyrights are for protecting written works, etc. The only downside to getting a trademark is that compared to a trademark, they are relatively expensive. Also, you may have to spend money as well on a search to make sure no one else is using that name, which again, costs some more money. A good place to start is here: http://www.uspto.gov/
Good luck.
