I need to explain something to those who have seen this film (Chiaroscuro)on the site, it's not finished. It's actually half finished, and the sad fact is that it will never be finished because during filmming my Panasonic AG-DVX100 had a meltdown and I'm having to spend $1,000 bucks to get it fixed.

Plus my main actor Adam Smoot has moved to L.A. and I'm still in Salt Lake City and not to mention the fact that my camera is still gone.

So anyway I hope you enjoy what you see, and you'll notice there's quite a bit missing from the story. Let me know what you all think.

Cheers!

Nate,
I thought it was well done considering all the crap that happened... (broken camera, actor moving)

Seriously, given the things that happened, you still put out the best version you could.

I liked how it turned out....

A few questions...
a) How did you want it to turn out? What was missing?
b) what does the name mean?

Good Job, man!

Chiaroscuro - the interplay between light and shadow, specifically in Renaissance-era painting.

I'd be interested to find out what else was supposed to be included, as well. Visually, your film was solid, but the story was very slim.

Well that sucks don't it? Sorry to hear about that man. If something like that happened to one of my films. . . hmmmm. . . I'd probably reshoot it a year later with a new cast and a improved script.

"And Bruce Wayne. . . why are you dressed up like Batman?"

I'm in a similar situation. I had shot about 1/4 of my film and edited the main titles when my camera died on me. I ordered a new one and its due to arrive Aug 2, but on that same day i'm leaving for St. Louis. The main actor is moving on Aug. 15, so the film will not be completed. All that work for nothing. Frown

*I am however rewriting the story and shooting it over the winter...

Sorry, dounle post.

I failed to mention something else.

I spent the last three days on a script about about ATV riding and today, one of the two main characters blew the motor on his quad, so that film will also not be done. More work gone to waste Smile

-I need better luck, Mark
