That was like, so disrespectful. First off movies ARE SUPPOSE TO BE CREATIVE! There was no creativity in that at all. Not even creative camera shots it was like the director just said *wahtever* and hit record. and then the women in it were very disrespected and probably have bad personalities in real life. it is degrading to see the femminime mystic exploited by having them wearing only half their clothes. editing was ok, but i wish it followed the rules more and kept it to the action guidlines of 25-35 cuts per minute. if you can even call this trash "action." some reviews on the site say it was purposly suppose to be dumb, fun and pointless but i don't think it was even that! plus it's obvious he saw KILL BILL first and then made this real quick and sent it in JUST to rip it off: and it shows! Kill Bill just came out like 10 days ago, so it's obvious that they rushed through this to get it online right away! almost everything about this movie was a direct kill bill rip off (the girls fighting, people getting hurt violently), except kill bill at least had a meaningful deep plot. It figures. Just like when pulp ficiton came out, everyone made pulp fiction rip offs. I feel stupid just for watching MAhri's Revenge. The world doesn't need movies like this; it needs more meaningfl movies like "PORTRAIT," "BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE" or "ANTIWAR" that speak volumes of our fallcomings of society and the human id and superego. AND REEDY ONLY makes ACTION movies. like 22 films on the site and EVERY SINGLE ONE is either a ZOMBIE movie or an action movie with GIRLS GETTING NAKED!.I watched all OF THEM and NOT one! had any sort of plot or screenplay at all. I think he's a hack and pointless plotless action movies with uncreative unplanned out camera shots will get him no where. Maybe i'm wrong. If so I will move into a cave.

I wanna hope this was a fake review.....but funny at that.....I mean, Stephen, you SHOWED MAhri's Revenge at ComicCon right? That was JULY........MONTHS before KILL BILL, do I need to say more? HAHAHAHA Big Grin

Not to mention "Kill Bill" is a HUGE rip off itself (Well, when its done with respect its called a Homage but whatever)

That has to be fake. No one could be that much of an ignorant tool. Could they?

Good work again Mr. Reedy. I always love the little things, like taking the time to actually make her hair blow up (wind blows hair for dramatic effect). Most envision this in their heads but never take the time to actually do it. I always have little things like that in my films. The first few times my crew thought I was crazy. Then when they saw the finished film they were like, "Oh, thats what the dust and portable fan were for."

Its all about the little things.

Thanks Mr. Tizz. Yah, that leafblower looked pretty feakin weird off camera. Every so often a sharp rock would fall it in and kill random neighbors upon turning it back on. They'll be missed.

On a Kill Bill note...It's like what Indiana Jones was for Speilberg and his chlidhood favortie movies. I wonder: What will kids from today make as "dedication movies?"

Well Kung Fu was Tarantino's type of inspiration along with Samurai films, those were popular at his time. Spielberg and Lucas had the 1940s and SciFi comics and SciFi B movies ofr inspiration for Indiana and Star Wars.

What do WE have today? No Kung Fu movie waves, no exploitaitions, no B movies (the way they used to be) but instead we have;

Crazy Special Efffects movies with no plot

&

Remakes

I can't wait to pay homage to the films of my time. Roll Eyes

Fisrt off Kimlin is a dope. A dopey dope on dope who's not dope. Calling the girl in this film a slut was inexcusable, so f him. I'm actually surprised that more of us didn't stoop to that level. It would have been easy for alot of us here to act on immature impulses and let the skin detract from the discussion but it didn't, proving that we have an intelligent community here. (well kimlin aside, ego is a sorry substitute for class, kris shame on you.)

As for the movie itself I respect it on a technical level but one has to worry about films were style becomes the substance. (I put that in my review so sorry for repeating myself.) But it's clear as day that this was made for fun so who cares about substance. Technically superb editing an composition a killer energy and classy responses to some real crappy accusations, from being a rip off to using underaged girls.

One things for sure the dialouge that swirls around this film must be exciting for those involved.

P.S. Please make a sequel where Mahri gets to decapitate an egotistical meglomaniac named "Kris" who feels it nessesry to belittle a woman because her sexuality makes him feel uncomfortable and threatened.

1185 people have viewed the insanity that is this message board topic. Forget "Mahri's Revenge," someone make a movie out of this post. Maybe a violent soap opera musical...

Steve, i'm pretty sure you don't want to remake "The Running Man" ... especially since Arnold Schwarzenegger is now governor :-)

Stephen Reedy, your work never ceases to amaze me. If you never make it as a director, take satisfaction in the fact that you can always make it as an editor, which is definately your strongest point. "Takeback 2" is still my favorite movie on this site, and now Mahri's Revenge is probably on my top 10. This movie was a definite assault on the senses on all levels: physical, visual and sexual. I LOVED the "Equilibrium" gun-kata homage you put in there. If you didn't homage to it, then I'd say that's an extreme coincidence. I also liked the Jackie Chan-esque fighting you had. It kept my attention the whole way. To boot, you threw in a dash of soft-core porn with incredibly beautiful women. My favorite part of the movie is when after Mahri kills the two female henchman, the main guy is holding the case, and it looks like a huge showdown is about to ensue.... but instead she just b*tchslaps him across the face and he dies!!!! Brilliant man. And don't listen to these idiots who bash your movie. They just don't get that it's not a film to be taken seriously. I am truly your biggest fan Mr. Reedy. Well, I think I'm going to go watch it again!!!

Chandler Mays
a humble fan

PS - The girl who played Mahri in the movie is INCREDIBLY FINE!!!! Some people think that you were degraded in the movie, but I think you were a total badass in total domination of your sexuality. You can kick my ass in that outfit ANY time you want. I'm in Tallahassee baby! I think you're in my top ten females list... right behind Kate Beckinsale, Rachel Weisz, Kiera Knightley, Jennifer Anniston, Britney Spears and Uma Thurman... and that's saying alot. Keep up the good work!!
