I've seen Matt Gilbert's new film, Walk Among Us, and I think it's pretty great, because it brilliantly builds atmosphere and tension throughout. However, I think this is Gilbert's most polarizing work yet, because I can see a lot of people hating and ridiculing this film. But nevertheless, I think it's really good, and it's a must-see for Halloween weekend.

I'm with Gross on this one. Gilbert's new film is a standout. His best yet. It's so f****n' smart and just played out brilliantly. However, I can see a lot of kids hating on it, maybe more so than the schizo film. Walk Among Us is excellently paced and thought out. I f****n' loved it.

Well you should know, Tizzy, it's on your site! But basically, there isn't really a synopsis, the movie is about 90 seconds long and it depicts the investigation of a murder scene. But the atmosphere and tension it uses really got to me and, to me, had shades of Shyamalan and Kubrick in there. But like I said before, there's a good chance many people won't like this film, so don't take my word for it...

LOL I thought you were talking about some feature by some obscure director.
For the record this isnt my site, I just work here. R. Michael

JW- what don't you understand about this film? It's not exactly BLUE VELVET or some other Lynch entry where you don't know what the hell is going on. There's not much to get. Plus you're missing the point, look at the piece as a whole and what effect its giving off...it's an incredible work. elaborate if you don't understand where i'm coming from with this post.

Rubix....I think you should calm down. Your post in my other thread was rather offensive. I did not make a "desperate post" to expose my film more than Walk Among Us; proof being in the fact that I made that post an entire day before this thread was created. I have the right to interpret a film to my heart's desire, and that includes not understanding it. If you don't like that, too bad.
I didn't mean to be offensive my dear boy. I just didn't get where you were coming from. I just hate these posts that are like "Hey look at me, I made a film...screw dignity, I guess the screen captures and synopsis aren't enough to entice you in, so here's this disgraceful post" My point is, no one else has to do that and they seem to do pretty well. I may have jumped the gun on this issue, and once again I apologize -but you have to admit man, "walk..." is a kickass film in my opinion, and yes, you're entitled to your own opinion but be prepared to back it up. How do you think posting that thread and hating on other people's work make you look? Desperate...

Allright, once again, calm down. NEVER did I say anything negative about Walk Among Us. I said that I didn't understand it, which is a perfectly legit comment to make. Don't get me wrong, I think it's technically very well done.
And to address your other point; last time I checked, it was okay to promote your own film to gain some exposure and get feedback. This site is not a popularity contest, it's a resource where people like you and me put up our films so people watch them and review them. People in the real world promote their own work all the time, for the same reasons.
Hi, I just registered just now because I don't believe in postings, just reading them but I had to step in here. It seems this whole thing is getting outta hand. It's a just a movie. If anyone wants to be mad or offensive, do it to me, not to random posters who disagree with an opinion. If you don't get it, ask me. Just Relax like Frankie say. And drink too. Cheers boys!
