this is in response to the many critics that have posted replies about my partner's and my piece.

Thank you for the positive comments that you guys gave us. I just want to address certain issues.

"I hate Bush"
Guys, come on. even though individuals might disagree with George Bush, that is no reason to slander our piece. He is a historical figure in modern history, like him or not. He plays an important role in the events of September 11th and that is why we included him in the piece.

"Over used footage"
This piece was created 4 months after September 11th took place. At no time did we find any documentaries that closely resembling ours.

"Sappy music"
If people can say that the Enya songs used in our piece are sappy, then there are no emotional songs. We auctioned several songs to be used to create the piece with and the Enya songs were our first choice.

"art"
we never said that this was supposed to be an "artist" piece. we wanted to create an emotional documentary abou the events of September 11th. We were not looking to create an "artsy" film.

Again, thank you for posting comments on our documentary. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me.

I didnt enjoy your work, and let me tell you why.

First of all, I wouldn't consider what you created a documentary. You didnt commit any research, do any interviews, or observer and comment on an event or person in a object point of view. All you did was take clips of a tragic event, edit it together with "sad" music and tried to squeeze emotion out of the viewer, which is not a big accomplishment since the event itself is the cause of the emotion not your portrayl of it.

There was no creative input what-so-ever, all you have proven was that you are fluent in the very basics of video editing.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

thats true, good point. It's a montage, but there was no montage section on studentfilms, so we called it a documentary. It does, however, accurately document the day and an historical time in the history of America. Take it as you wish, but thanks for the opinion.

My problem just lies with the fact that people are currently voting so negative because they "dont want to see these images anymore."

obviously this is a film about september 11th and if you watch it, you will see images of september 11th. Its one of those things where if you don't want to see it, then you should not watch it. People can be so ignorant sometimes. People have not seen that the film was created two years ago, and I never considered it to be "art." Its a montage, people need to understand that.

But thanks for the compliment, I just try to stay in good terms with everyone.
