Hi there. My first film, "Death Metal of Death", has recently appeared on this site, where at least four people loved it (I'm not counting the two people who know me) and one guy didn't like it at all. I mean, he gave me one star across the board, which presumably means there wasn't a single thing in all twenty-five-and-a-half minutes of footage that he liked even a little bit. Everyone else gave me five or thereabouts unquestioningly. My predicament here is that I'm caught between two extremes, the one really, really liking the movie and the other really, really hating it. Neither of them have told me anything that I can use, apart from augmenting or deflating my ego. What's more, I don't think I quite believe any of them. I don't think my film deserves five stars any more than it deserves one. So what I'd like is this: to hear from people with the time and bandwidth to have seen "Death Metal of Death" and who have honest, non-raving thoughts on what its strengths and weaknesses are. I'd like to go on making movies, and, however good or bad my first one is, I'd like my next ones to be better. So please, if you can spare a moment, let me know what you liked or didn't like about my movie and what I should do about it. Or voice any questions or indictments you may have, and I'll answer them as best I can. That's what's great about forums like this. People talk to each other. Talk to me.
