Alright, got the Snake suit pretty much complete, but I have another obstacle ahead of me: Music.

I want to have some Metal Gear-esque music for when he's sneaking around, but I can't use the actual music used by Konami.

So....how do I go about getting appropriate music? Would I have to hire someone to do a 30-second electronic track, and would that cost a fortune?

Plus, I need generic "commercial music" for the last part of the commercial, when I'm shilling the subscription.

Any ideas?

If you're doing a "spec spot" to put on your reel, you don't have to worry about the music, since you are not generating profit from it.

If you were to take your project and sell it to, let's say, your next door neighbor, then you would need permission/license for the music.

Use the music from the Metal Gear Solid 2 soundtrack, done by Harry Gregson Williams. You can probably get a license for it if it's going to be a real commercial. It'll be easier to license it through them, then to do it on your own.

Mattson used his stuff for his film "The Mark" part 1 & 2. Now im not sure how he feels about a commercial spot, but if you contact him he may grant you permission because its exposure. Worth a shot anyway, and his stuff is pretty good (very video game epic style. Infact, I think he does video games) worth a shot. Hope that helps. Keep us updated on how it goes.

Tizzy,

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This stuff is PERFECT! It's exactly what I wanted, and he's really cool about people using it. Can't thank you enough, man....you solved the problem.
