Hey, i've only just discovered this site, and was wondering if you made a music video, does it have to be accompanying a song by a signed band?

You mean for the site to host it? Hell no. Any music video featuring, any music. Even if it was stuff you made at home, using ACID it would be fine.

Yes. Any music video is fine. Preferably original music just so one doesn't possibly get into legal issues - although I doubt anyone will make a fuss over a student film.

This site is for learning. Anything cut to music will be fine. It can be your band, your friend's band, or any band at all.
