Kyle, you have no idea how many people say that the beginning scared the hell outta them. Ha. That's funny. Thomas, yes now I recognize your name. But yes I did forget that I helped you out with those muzzle flashes. They look great, by the way! Glad I could help. Your trailer and scene clip are both magnificant. Really really great, I enjoyed them a lot. You should put this sucker out for sale on VHS/DVD, I'd purchase a copy. Ahem, i don't mean to steal your thread here, but if you two enjoyed TLP so much.... TLP was named one of five finalists in college-film.com's short film contest, and I could certainly use some help garnering votes to win! So if you've got some time go here: http://college-film.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=20Register at the board and post a reply in "The Last Patrol" thread to vote for it! Thanks guys. Now back to your film. So you composed the music yourself, Thomas? What program did you use? It sounded great. Not computerized at all, very natural. I actually thought it might've been from an actual movie's soundtrack at first. AMF PRODUCTIONS

Thats awesome that you thought it was real! Actually, I composed it on a program called Noteworthy Composer that I downloaded for free of the internet. Most of the sounds from it are actually from my sound card itself. All the strings, drums, etc. Next, I use Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 are the composing is done. What I do in that is open the Noteworthy Composer file as a MIDI so it has all the same stuff as in the program before (and it sounds exactly the same because i'm still using the same sounds). I have a MIDI keyboard that is connected to my computer, and basically all the sounds that didn't sound quite so good, I replaced with the sounds on my keyboard by playing along with the music and recording over the track to be replaced. All the piano that is in the score, I played myself although I don't think there was any in the trench scene. Thats basically how I did it.
As for all the people who keep saying The Lost Soldiers is like Saving Private Ryan. Yes, it is on the outside but basically nothing in the movie, espcially after what happens in the scene in the movie even remotely resembles SPR. You'll just have to take my word on it I guess. Ha!
